European Antiques Adventure
Experience a unique, fully escorted buying and learning experience in London, Amsterdam and Paris, with renowned antiques and fine arts expert, Charles Aronson.
Here is an extract of what members of earlier tours have to say: “After a most interesting train trip through the Channel Tunnel and via Brussels, we arrived in Amsterdam full of enthusiasm and anticipation. Charles, our personal guide, suggested that we quickly unpack and all meet for a brief walking tour around our historic hotel. He wanted to show us one of his favourite places on earth. We were not disappointed. We walked directly across the road to the Royal Palace and although the Queen was not in residence, a few of our party waved heartily at the windows - just in case. And then, in no time at all, we found ourselves in what Charles described as “one of the most peaceful settings on earth”. In no more than fifty paces, we were transported in time and place from the noisy bustle of the city into the most serene courtyard square I have ever seen. Charles explained that it was originally formed in 1150 by the nuns who built a small now-hidden church in one corner and which became fully enclosed with charming, gabled merchants’ houses between the 14th and 18th centuries.
The only sounds to be heard were the twittering birds in the trees and the soft echo of our own footsteps. I could have stayed there for hours.”
